Namada recently allocated tokens for various categories of users. From Gitcoin donors, Cosmos Ecosystem Stakers, Contributors to their Github Repositories, Developers, etc. The claim is still live. The final stage before the launch of the Mainnet is the incentivized Testnet in what they tagged “SHIELDED EXPEDITION” ” A Total of 30 million tokens -representing 3 percent of Token supply – is allocated for the Testnet users.
There are two ways to participate, either as a validator or as a user (crew). The vast majority of persons should apply as Crew as there are only 100 spots for validators.
Follow the steps below to register for Testnet participation. Active tasks will commence in January 2024.
- Create a Namada Wallet by using the Chrome Extention addition or using the GitHub documentation. The link to creating a wallet is https://namada.net/extension. Ensure you securely keep your recovery phrase.
- Visit: https://namada.deform.cc/shielded-expedition-crew/
- Connect your Twitter (X) account and authorize the connection.
- Link your Discord Account
- Add the link to your GitHub profile page
- Add your Organization name and website (if any)
- Pick a moniker (Profile name)
- Enter your Email address
- OPTIONAL: Link to a profile picture image
- Enter your Namada Public Key (tpknam1…) for the SHIELDED EXPEDITION
- Enter your Namada Transparent Account (tnam1…)
- OPTIONAL: Enter a different Namada Public Key for MAINNET
- OPTIONAL: Enter a different Namada Transparent Account for Mainnet
- Agree to the terms and conditions
- Pass the captcha test
- Submit the form and wait for a follow-up email to start your Testnet journey
